GULNAAR GULABI ORGANZA SAREE

The Gulnaar Gulabi Pink Organza Saree is a vision of understated elegance. Crafted in lightweight organza, this saree features a soft pink hue that exudes grace and sophistication. Its airy texture and fluid drape create a delicate yet refined silhouette, making it an ideal choice for festive occasions and elegant evening gatherings.

GULABI

In the aftermath of the Partition of India, she carried more than memories—she carried herself forward. Draped in resilience and quiet strength, her choices became her voice.

She chose movement over stillness, grace over grief, and joy over what was left behind. In sarees that flowed with her journey, she found a way to begin again.

And in Gulabi, she reclaimed softness—not as fragility, but as power.

Gulabi is not just a colour. It is worn, lived, and redefined.

A celebration of women who move forward, carrying their stories with elegance, courage, and timeless beauty.

The Gulnaar Gulabi Pink Organza Saree is a celebration of quiet opulence — a gulabi pink saree that glows with the luminous clarity of pure silk organza. The fabric catches the light in that distinctly airy way only silk organza can, rendering the colour in a soft, almost ethereal blush that flatters every skin tone. Crafted at Peeli Dori by master artisan Tabark, the Gulnaar is a testament to what unhurried, intention-filled hands can create when given a canvas this beautiful.

What makes this hand embroidered saree truly extraordinary is its border: a wide, sweeping band of antique-gold zardozi work that runs the full length of the saree and comes alive again on the pallu. Tabark's embroidery vocabulary here is floral and lush — densely packed blooms, curling vines, and interlocking petals rendered in fine dabka and zardozi thread. The weight of the goldwork creates a pleasing counterpoint to the feather-light silk organza saree body, so the drape falls with quiet drama rather than stiffness. A matching blouse, embroidered along the neckline and sleeve hems with the same antique-gold motifs, completes the look and means you can step directly from the box to the occasion.

The Gulnaar is a natural choice for weddings, sangeets, receptions, Eid celebrations, and any festive gathering where you wish to arrive remembered. As a festive saree it occupies a rare middle ground: elevated enough for the front row of a baraat, yet the softness of the gulabi pink keeps it from ever feeling heavy or overdressed. Styled with gold bangles and pearl drops — as you see here — it belongs to that effortless genre of Indian dressing where nothing needs to try too hard.

This is a limited piece, hand-finished and signed by the artisan. If the Gulnaar feels like yours, we invite you to bring it home before it finds another.

Question: What fabric is the Gulnaar Gulabi Organza Saree made from?

Answer: The Gulnaar is crafted from pure silk organza — a lightweight, sheer, and slightly crisp fabric that holds its shape beautifully in a drape. Silk organza has a natural luminosity that gives the gulabi pink its characteristic glow, and it is considerably more breathable than heavier silks, making it comfortable for long celebrations.

Question: Does the saree come with a matching blouse?

Answer: Yes. Each Gulnaar saree is accompanied by a matching gulabi pink blouse with the same antique-gold hand embroidered border along the neckline and sleeve hems. The blouse is stitched to standard measurements; if you would like a custom fit, please reach out to us at the time of ordering and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

Question: For which occasions is the Gulnaar most suitable?

Answer: The Gulnaar is a versatile festive saree designed for elevated occasions: wedding ceremonies, sangeets, receptions, Eid and Diwali celebrations, engagement functions, and high-tea events. The soft gulabi pink keeps the look feminine and refined, while the goldwork border adds the gravitas expected at formal Indian gatherings.

Question: How should I care for this saree?

Answer: The Gulnaar is hand-dyed and will disperse some colour when first wetted — this is a natural characteristic of the hand-dyeing process and not a defect. We strongly recommend dry-cleaning only for the first few washes to preserve the dye and the embroidery. If hand-washing becomes necessary, use cold water with a mild detergent, do not wring, and dry flat in shade away from direct sunlight. Never machine-wash or tumble-dry.

Question: Who made the embroidery, and what technique is used?

Answer: The embroidery on the Gulnaar is entirely hand-worked by Tabark, a master artisan in Peeli Dori's core craftsperson community. The technique combines zardozi (heavy metallic thread work) and dabka (coiled wire embroidery) to build the dimensional antique-gold floral and vine border. Each saree takes several days to complete, and no two pieces are exactly identical — minor variations in the goldwork are a mark of authentic hand embroidery, not imperfection.

Question: Can the Gulnaar be customised — for example, in a different colour or with a different embroidery placement?

Answer: We do accept bespoke requests for select Peeli Dori designs, subject to artisan availability and lead time. If you are interested in the Gulnaar in an alternative colour — such as ivory, mint, or powder blue — or would like changes to the embroidery placement, please write to us before placing your order so we can discuss the possibilities and timeline. Customisation requests typically require a lead time of four to six weeks.
