What makes a Peeli Dori saree a "designer saree"?

Each saree is hand-embroidered and made to order, using crafts like resham, gota, zardozi and scalloped edgework, across 306 designs priced from ₹6,900 to ₹59,500.

Which saree fabric works best for a wedding or reception?

Silk organza and tissue silk both carry structure and sheen well for evening wedding functions, while chiffon suits a lighter daytime event. Red and gold shades are the most traditional reception choices in this collection.

How do I pick a saree colour that suits me?

There's no single right answer, but as a general guide, cooler tones like powder blue and eggplant purple tend to suit cooler undertones, while ivory, gold and blush pink flatter warmer ones. With 12 shades on offer, it's worth trying more than one.

What is the price range for designer sarees at Peeli Dori?

Prices run from ₹6,900 to ₹59,500 across the 306-piece collection, with a median around ₹22,500, depending on the fabric and the amount of hand embroidery on each piece.

Are these sarees suitable for everyday party wear, or only weddings?

Both — lighter organza and chiffon sarees in softer shades work well for smaller evening parties, while the more heavily embroidered pieces are built for weddings and receptions.

What blouse should I pair with a hand-embroidered saree?

A contrasting or metallic-toned blouse usually works best against a detailed saree border. Browse our hand-embroidered blouses to match a specific saree's embroidery.

Does Peeli Dori ship sarees across India and internationally?

Yes — shipping is free within India on orders above ₹10,000, and free internationally on orders above ₹49,000.

Designer Sarees Online – Hand-Embroidered Sarees for Weddings & Parties

Designer Saree Collection: Hand-Embroidered Luxury for Weddings & Parties

Peeli Dori's designer saree collection runs to 306 pieces, priced from ₹6,900 to ₹59,500, with a median around ₹22,500. Sarees here are hand-embroidered and made to order, drawing on crafts like resham, gota, zardozi and scalloped edges. Whether you're dressing for a wedding function, a reception, or a smaller evening party, the range is built to give you a genuinely detailed, individually worked piece.

Shop by Occasion: Party Wear, Bridal & Reception Sarees

For a party wear saree, richer jewel tones and deeper embroidery carry an evening well, while ivory, powder blue and blush pink read softer for daytime functions. For a wedding saree or reception look, red and gold shades remain the classic choice, and pieces like the Rosein Red Silk Organza Saree (₹19,500) or the Ruhani Red Saree (₹14,500) sit comfortably in that bracket. If you're dressing as part of the wedding party rather than shopping for a bridal saree yourself, our Baraati Collection is built specifically for that role.

Shop by Fabric: Silk Organza, Tissue, Chiffon & More

Organza is the backbone of the collection, with 117 sarees built on the fabric — light but structured, and a natural fit for draping with movement. Chiffon (26 sarees) drapes even softer and suits warmer-weather events, while tissue silk (18 sarees) brings a metallic sheen that reads well for evening functions. Satin (28), georgette (6), chanderi (3), linen (3) and velvet (2) round out the collection for buyers who want a different hand-feel. Pieces like the Lotus Silk Organza Saree (₹26,500) and the Paro Gold Organza Saree (₹22,500) show the organza range at its most detailed.

Shop by Colour: Ivory, Peacock Pink, Powder Blue & Black

Ivory leads the colour count with 31 designs, followed by peacock pink (23), powder blue (19), black (17) and red (15). Blush pink, eggplant purple, lime green, gold, mellow yellow, mint green and pastel pink each appear in smaller numbers, giving you room to match a saree to your own colouring across a wide set of shades. A black party wear saree or an off-white ivory drape both carry an evening event with quiet presence, without competing with a bride's own outfit.

The Craft Behind Every Saree: Resham, Gota, Zardozi & Scallop

180 of our sarees carry hand embroidery as their defining detail, most often resham thread work (21 sarees), gota patti (10), zardozi metal-thread embroidery (8), or scalloped borders (10); smaller numbers use sequins, pearls, mirror work or appliqué. Every piece is hand-embroidered and made to order, so the detailing on the border or pallu is worked individually.

Saree Styling Guide: Drapes, Blouses & Pairing

A silk organza or chiffon saree drapes best in a classic Nivi style, letting the pallu fall with movement rather than being pinned flat. Pair a lighter-worked saree with one of our hand-embroidered blouses in a contrasting colour, and finish with a dupatta or stole if the occasion calls for extra drape. If you're building a full trousseau rather than a single saree, our Bridal Collection and lehengas are worth browsing alongside this one.
